Volunteer Opportunities!

We have quite a few opportunities for volunteers this time around.

July 4th:
AMBUCS is hosting a fireworks show at the East Crawford Rec. Area. The set-up begins at 10am, and lasts until Noon. Afterwards around 7pm there is a concert until 9pm, with the fireworks beginning at 10pm. Contact John Ziegler at 785 823 2336 for more information.

July 11th:
The Relay for Life is taking place at Central High School's Stadium. The program runs from 7pm on the 11th until 7am on the 12th. However, you do not need to stay the whole time, all they pretty much want to showcase is the opening ceremony. Anything else is up to you. Contact Ryan Weber at 785 827 3606 for more information.

The following opportunities (as well as the ones above) are pieces that would be good for Eye on Salina:

These free presentations are held in the Community Room on the second floor of the Museum. Bring your lunch if you’d like, relax, have a glass of water or lemonade, sit back and enjoy. July 17th-20th:

Downtown merchants are concentrating on Thursday, July 17. Riverfest '08

As a friendly reminder the sign-up sheet for the River Festival is up and ready. As in years past, we will be supplying the volunteers who help out with buttons for the Riverfest, so not only will you be helping Access out, but you will be able to enjoy the festivities afterwards as well.

The sign-up sheet is located in the lobby of Access, so if you can help out, sign up today!

AARP Truck Shoot

The AARP will be hosting an event on May 30th from 10am until 12pm at Kansas Weslyan.

They are looking to do a truck shoot, but a tricaster shoot would work just as well. In either case, we need a producer, and a crew for the shoot. So, anyone available to help out, please let us know.

Thanks for your help, and if you have any questions, please let us know.
